wow that is totally amazing...I'll be interested in how it affects you.
watch out for the following:

Vitamin D taken in excess can cause pathological changes in the body. Signs of vitamin D toxicity include excessive calcification of bone, kidney stones, calcification of soft tissue, headaches, weakness, nausea, vomiting, constipation, polyuria, and polydipsia.

David;

My cardiologist prescribed 50,000 IU Vitamin D, 1 softgel each per week for 6 weeks. I now take 2000 IU daily. Initially my Vit D level was 20 last test was up to 28. I have noticed some improvements after taking Vit D supplements.

Please read my post under "Permanent Muscle Damage" by Gotts.
I was amazed by what Apple Cider Vinegar has done for me as far a as joint pain is concerned.

schatzi,

I have been taking ACV since march or april and while it has totally suppressed any acid reflux and possibly is reducing plaque buildup it has not helped with my muscle or nerve problems...see my posts

Apple cider vinager will kill the candida yeast infections which have many of the same side effects as statin drugs...it's possible that you were suffering from candida all this time. see this:

David;

Thank you for the very informative link about candida. A few years ago I suspected candidiasis as the culprit and had myself tested. It was negative, which apparently could have been a false result.

Looking at the list of side effects, I had and still have a few of them, the worst being acid reflux, joint and muscle pain and craving for sweets among a list of others. So far I have had some success with the acid reflux as well. After several not so successful tries, today is my third day without Nexium which was never even possible to skip one day before.

Oddly enough, about five years ago I became aware that I could not tolerate yeast type baked goods anymore. Duh....

Seems like ACV is something worthwhile trying, it's natural, an age-old remedy and surely won't hurt you. So I will keep taking it.

I am elated with the results I have had so far, after years and years of pain, it is a real relief.

Thank you again for the information.
