Improve Your Circulation Naturally − Connect to the Earth: 2 of 3

Better Facial Blood Flow = Enhanced and Youthful Complexion

The laser imaging study was published in the online Journal of Cosmetics, Dermatological Sciences and Applications, and specifically demonstrated an improvement in facial blood flow, one of the likely ways that Earthing can potentially − and quickly − improve how you look.1

Many women have told me that they look better, more rested, and more youthful, after they start grounding. In this study, better facial blood flow was documented – well within an hour.

Grounding - SinatraImproved facial circulation (right image) after 20 minutes of grounding,
as documented by a Speckle Contrast Laser Imager.

Such improvement implies increased nourishment of facial tissues and functions, and from my observations, continued grounding indeed generates continuing benefits to skin, complexion, and vitality.

The experiment documented a unique effect: a clear rhythmicity in the facial blood flow of the twenty-seven grounded subjects (but not the ungrounded subjects), a phenomenon indicating more efficient regulatory effect on circulation by the autonomic nervous system (ANS), and an example of how grounding contributes to homeostasis and more natural functioning in the body.

In his paper, Dr. Chevalier compared such regulation to “an efficient thermostat that activates or deactivates a heating or cooling system according to temperature fluctuations within the controlled environment.

For the body, grounding may contribute to the restoration of regulation by the ANS of the distribution of blood, and therefore needed oxygen and nutrients, to the various organs and systems according to their needs.”

He also cited other likely dynamics at play:

  • enhanced negative charge (from the Earth’s electrons) on the surface of red blood cells, promoting reduced clumping, a more desirable viscosity (blood thinning effect), and better flow.
  • improved overall physiology.2
  • a calming effect on the body3 and normalization of the stress hormone cortisol.4
  • reduced inflammation. Observations over the years clearly indicate that wounds and injuries heal faster when the body is grounded, and that the common signs of inflammation are reduced or eliminated.

 Caution: Grounding and Medication
Grounding has significant potential to improve circulation, glucose, thyroid, and blood thickness.

This may call for an adjustment in medication dosages.
Any patient on a prescription blood thinner or other medication should consult with his/her physician before starting grounding.
